Introducing Our Interns for 2023: Gianna Gallette & Caleeb Fisher

A Welcomed Return to a Pre-Pandemic Normal

After a short, pandemic-induced pause, we were so happy this year at Allied Productions to welcome the return of our internship program! We acknowledge and understand that part of our success came from the tutelage and advice we received from the generation of storytellers before us. Therefore we feel that it is our privilege and obligation to pay it forward by sharing the knowledge that we have with the next wave of visual storytellers. This year we received a record number of applications and had a wealth of talent to choose from. After much deliberation and hard decisions, we’re so proud to announce to you our intern selections for the Summer 2023 term, Gianna Gallette and Caleeb Fisher!

Gianna Gallette, ISFJ

My name is Gianna (Gigi) Gallette and I am one of the interns for Allied Productions during the summer of 2023. I am from Birmingham, Michigan and just finished my sophomore year at the University of Michigan. I am currently pursuing a degree in art, design, and film.

I am inspired to pursue a career in film because I have a passion for storytelling and visual expression. I have 6 years of experience, including 4 years of high school classes, 2 years of film college courses, and 4 years of consistent freelance work. I wish to keep learning and build more opportunities within the film industry each year and ultimately I would like to own a video production business. I applied to Allied Production’s summer internship because I wanted a hands-on in-field experience within a boutique business to strengthen and expand my skill set and knowledge. I am looking forward to working on and learning new techniques and using different equipment!

Caleeb Fisher, ENFJ

I have lived in Grand Rapids Michigan for the past 9 years, I attended and graduated high school from Grand River Preparatory High School. After high school, I attended Eastern Michigan for a year studying digital media production, however after my first year there I decided I’d much rather be hands on in the field and have now been doing freelance work going on 2 years. I am very inspired by Kobe Bryant, Donald Glover, and Kendrick Lamar who I feel are all great examples of being the best version of yourself to inspire and uplift others around you! My goal is to inspire others to enjoy their short time on this space rock, and I’d love to do so through film. Because of the great team here at Allied, I feel as if I’ll be able to grow and learn so much as a filmmaker - and person - to get another step closer to using film as a way to positively impact people around me! Through my hands on experience with Allied this summer I hope to add new tools to my bag to better equip me for becoming a professional filmmaker one day!
